I agree with SomeDarkHollow. In general, SBD recordings from 1979 and 1981 all have a similar problem. Jerry's guitar always sounds thin on those recordings. The music comes to life on this recording.
That being said, I honestly don't know why Dave chose this particular show out of all the possible ones from this era. The Terrapin is really good, but nothing else stands out as exceptional in any way. The Wharf Rat struck me as particularly mediocre.

Rumbling Force of Doom
IMHO this source outdoes the commercial release. SBD alone is a bit hollow and lifeless. Throw in just the right amount of AUD and you've got full-throttle mayhem. Well done, Sir Dusborne.
Yeah, the show is immense with Phil providing thundering highlights on the bottom end and Jerry picking his brains out from start to finish.

Grab This One!
Heard this show was going to be the next Dave's Pick's, and immediately checked it out. Never listened to much from '79, but was clearly missing out. The 5th from this run gets a lot more love, but this is a hidden gem show, for sure. The SBD that Charlie Miller has on here is beautiful, but with a few flaws...this excellent Dusborne (as always) corrects those and packs a nice punch using Charlie's SBD. DL and enjoy!

Another Rodaside Attraction....
Blistering hot show. Absolutely incredible matrix source recording. Don't think twice. Load the bong and hit play..
